The 5-point harness
The FlexiGrow has a mandatory 5-point restraint system, with straps over both shoulders, around the waist and between the legs.
Always use it. Adjust the straps to fit your child snugly every single time they're seated.
The tray is not a restraint
This is worth saying plainly: the tray is not designed to hold your child in the chair. Only the harness does that. Never rely on the tray to keep a child seated.
Passive crotch barrier
There's an integrated anti-falling barrier beneath the tray, so your child can't slip downward even before the harness is buckled. It's a second line of defence, not a replacement for the harness.
Why there's no recline
The FlexiGrow has a fixed, strictly upright backrest, and that's deliberate. Safety experts and paediatricians recommend a zero-recline position during active feeding, because a reclined position significantly increases choking risk.
If your baby isn't yet able to sit upright unassisted, they aren't ready for a high chair.
Always lock the wheels
The V2.0 has silent rubber caster wheels that roll easily across floorboards and tiles. Always engage the wheel brakes before seating your child, so the chair can't shift.
Where to place the chair
- On a flat, solid, level surface only
- Away from tables, walls or counters that a child could push against to tip themselves over
Before every use
Check that the folding mechanism and frame joints are securely locked. Don't use the chair if any part is broken, torn or missing.
Never leave your child unattended
Falls and sliding out are the main risks with any high chair. Stay with your child whenever they're seated.
