Recommended age
Birth to approximately 6 months.
When to stop using it
Age is a guide. Stop using the bassinet as soon as your baby can:
- Roll over, or
- Push up on their hands and knees
Whichever comes first, even if they're under 6 months. At that point it's time to move to a cot.
About the 15kg figure
The 15kg listed on our specifications is the frame's structural load rating — an engineering measurement of what the frame itself can bear. It is not a guide to when your baby has outgrown the bassinet.
Always follow the age and developmental guidance above rather than your baby's weight.
Safety testing
Since January 2026, every bassinet sold in Australia must meet the Consumer Goods (Infant Sleep Products) Safety Standard 2024.
The CuddleCrib V2 has been independently laboratory tested to:
- Consumer Goods (Infant Sleep Products) Safety Standard 2024 — covering flatness, side height, entrapment, structure and markings, across every mode
- Consumer Goods (Infant Products) Information Standard 2024
- AS/NZS 8811.1:2013 — mattress firmness
Every unit also receives a full manual inspection of seams, latches and locking joints before it leaves the production line.
Key safety warnings
- Lay your baby on their back on the firm, flat mattress
- Don't add toys, pillows or extra padding to the sleeping space
- Keep away from windows, blind and curtain cords, straps and electrical wires
- Never move the bassinet while your baby is lying in it
- Check before each use and don't use it if any part is loose, missing or damaged
- In bedside mode, always install the Y-strap with no gap between bassinet and bed
